AN Easter fun day was held at Haberdashers’ Monmouth School in partner with Monmouth Town Council to allow children to take part in an array of Easter themed activities.

The event saw 50 families take part in the activities across the Prep School campus. The day began in Mrs Griffith's classroom where children were able to take part in colourful Easter crafts.

The children then headed to the science lab where they were able to participate in a fun Easter themed experiment led by Dr Sion Wall looking at a chemical change to make a bouncy egg.

The day continued to the school’s Prep Sports Field where families e enjoyed egg decorating and competitive egg rolling.

Friends of Haberdashers’ Monmouth Prep School put together a pit stop with hot drinks, snacks, sweet treats and pink and blue candy floss provided by Gladys which the children and families enjoyed.

In Forest School, Mrs Cameron led children in toasting marshmallows and making treats over an open fire adding a cosy-themed excitement to the day.

To end the day families made their way to the Recital Hall where laughter was seen due to an entertaining magic show to end the full day.

To conclude children took home a goody bag and easter egg to enjoy in the lead up to Easter Sunday.

“It’s been such a wonderful morning for the whole family – so much to do and such a lovely atmosphere,” said one parent.

“I’ve never been up to the Prep before, and I can’t believe how beautiful it is up here.”

Due to the successful turnout at the event the school hope this is a day they can continue to do, starting a new annual tradition at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Prep.
