The DVLA have been spotted in Monmouth clamping cars which don’t have tax or MOT.

If you your car isn’t taxed or doesn’t have a valid MOT then you could be paying up to £260 to have the clamp taken off, says a local resident.

Once the clamp is taken off, you have 24 hours to make sure the car is no longer on a public road if it isn’t taxed.

“One of mine has already been clamped this morning on Rockfield Road,” says one local road user.

The payment contact telephone number is 03432241999.
