After a loss at home in their last game, the Druids travelled to Talgarth to meet Gwernyfed RFC. Having won all their away fixtures and beating Gwernyfed in the previous game this season, they were quite hopeful of a win.

The opening play saw the visitors have the better of the play without opening the scoring. Druids prop Rob Jode fielded a high ball and made ground into the Gwernyfed defence.

He passed to full back Gareth Jones who in turn fed left wing Nathen Crocker but the attack succumbed to cover tackling.

The home side, playing down the slope, gradually got into the game and posed attacking threats to the visitors' try line.

The Druids defence, as the season has shown, is very determined and the tackling was most resolute. Gwernyfed pressure told however, when they kicked a 20-metre penalty goal to get the scoreboard moving.

Playing running rugby on a sticky pitch was proving difficult and the Druids backs failed to create any opportunities.
