MONMOUTHSHIRE basednon-profit organisation iNeed is appealing for help in processing donations at its unit in Caldicot between Christmas and New Year.

The group has gone from strength to strength this year gathering aid to take straight into Syria to support those displaced by conflict.

There is an appeal for the donation of food, clothes, bedding and toiletries as the situation in Aleppo and across Syria worsens.

Founding member Natasha Cadman said: "We need help now more than ever. We operate out of a unit in Caldicot and have volunteers working with us from Chepstow, Monmouthshire and the Forest of Dean.

"We’ve made contact with groups across the Southwest and Wales and we now act as a collecting point for donations of clothes, food and toiletries, which we sort and take to charity Anaya Aid in Cardiff who then transport it directly into Syria.

“Whether you have clothing to donate or want to come and help us, we’d love to hear from you."
