RDFCC club chairman Matt Heaman enjoyed an early season leg stretcher last weeeknd, racing in the Severn RC Hard Riders 23m TT on Sunday (20th March).

This was held on an sporting/ undulating course. The start was at Tormarton with the first lumpy leg to Marshfield.

From here it was a left onto the A420 for a blast towards Chippenham. Left to go through Castle Combe and into the wind and up some horrible drags before going back past the start to finish at Marshfield.

Matt managed 12th in a field of 50 with a time of 58.50.

Rob Pears of Bath CC won in 52.05.

It was a really good event held on quiet roads but Matt deemed it hard with lots of long drags and poor road surfaces.

There were enough hills to require the inner ring on three occasions.
