Petrol stolen
POLICE are investigating after a black BMW car with false number plates drove off from the Overmonnow Garage without paying for petrol. Fuel worth £55 was stolen.
Two arrested
TWO local men were arrested after a fight in the early hours of Sunday morning at the rear of St Mary's Church. One man was found lying on the ground and as a result of inquiries the two were arrested and released on bail pending further inquiries.
TV taken
A TELEVISION set was stolen during a break in at the Raglan Services Travel Lodge on Friday evening.
Tractor jack-knifed
TRAFFIC was disrupted when a tractor and trailer containing cattle jack-knifed near the Dixton roundabout at Monmouth at 8 am last Friday morning. None of the animals were injured. It is believed a flat tyre caused the incident.
Window broken
A LOCAL youth was apprehended by a diner and member of staff after a window was broken at a restaurant in Monnow Street, Monmouth, on Friday evening. Police formally arrested the man and inquiries are continuing.
