The BBC's 2012 Children in Need appeal raised a record £26.7 million in a night of celebrity performances and entertainment.

The amount, which was pledged by donors during the seven hour live show, is expected to rise in the coming weeks and exceeds last year's record sum of £26.3 million.

Local efforts that contributed to the final amount included pubs, clubs, schools and individuals across Monmouthshire. Photos of some efforts are included here, but see the Beacon this week (21st November) for much more.
