I would like to express my thanks to Malcolm Jones and Terry Ashton, who have given valuable service to Monmouth Town Council.

Both have now resigned for personal reasons but we should all recognise and be grateful for the time and effort they have freely given while serving on the council.

Monmouth Town Council now has two vacancies – one in the Town Ward and one in Drybridge Ward.

I would encourage anyone who has the time, energy and inclination to assist in the running of the town affairs to contact the Town Clerk in the first instance on 01600 715662.

No previous experience or qualification is required – just enthusiasm and a modicum of common sense.
