NATIONAL Assembly Member for Monmouth Nick Ramsay last week attended a meeting with Monmouthshire County Councillors and Officers to discuss concerns over the current burial space shortage in Usk. During the meeting on Friday AM Nick Ramsay was briefed on the problem and examined how the situation can be addressed. Speaking later. Nick Ramsay said: "It is a concern in around four years time there will be no more burial space in Usk. At present there is only room for 20 more graves. "It is proving difficult to identify suitable land and I was pleased to meet up with Council officials to consider this important and emotive matter to try to identify a solution. "Clearly pressures for land are intense. However, deciding whether to be buried or cremated is a personal choice and it is important that all options are available locally."
