As a potential county council candidate in next year's elections, I must express my concern, on behalf of the residents of Rockfield and Wyesham, at the ongoing stupidity of the county council's intention to add 400 houses in each ward, 800 in total.

Unfortunately, Monmouth has grown too big for its facilities. There is not enough parking room on busy days, the main road through the town centre is too narrow to accomodate the level of traffic, Rockfield is on a floodplain and all manner of facilities are insufficient eg doctors, schools etc.

There must be a better way.
