CHRIS Gough of Wyesham reached the last 16 of the Irish Masters' Darts Competition. In a superb display of darts Chris scored more than 15 180s and defeated world No 2 Alan Warriner to reach the last 16.

The televised event is one of the biggest and included the top 16 players in the world.

Chris, who was finally defeated 4-3 by darts legend Cliff Lazarenko, was happy to pick up four world ranking points.

After local success in winning the Whitebrook Ross twice and Hereford Singles title Chris is now looking for sponsors to further his ambition and reach the top.
