At Monmouth’s Chippenham Fields, Tom Chinnick led the club home with an impressive 18:07, followed by strong runs from Rachel Waters, Holly Janes‑Thomas and Stephen McMenemy, who completed his 255th parkrun.
Behind him, Rachel Waters celebrated her birthday‑related promotion to 1st in age category, courtesy of Holly moving up an age bracket and gifting Rachel the win like a beautifully wrapped present.
Holly Janes‑Thomas herself cruised around in 24:55, smiling like she’d planned the whole thing.
Stephen McMenemy completed his 255th parkrun with the calm determination of a man who knows exactly how long 3 miles is and refuses to be rushed.
Brian Evans also delivered a sharp 22:42 earlier in the week.
Spirit runners travelled widely too. Nick Sloper ran at Worcester, navigating a busy course with a solid time. Martin Blakebrough braved windy conditions at Severn Bridge, while Matthew and Fay Visser ran at Llanfoist. Renske Bouwens and Linda enjoyed a social “parkrun sandwich” at Mallards Pike, and Jeremy Creasey added a Shakespearean twist at Stratford‑upon‑Avon. Marina Wright and Andrew Hillis represented the club internationally at Amager Strandpark in Denmark.
