CATHERINE Fookes, MP for Monmouthshire, has hosted her first ‘Pint with Cath’ event, giving Chepstow residents the opportunity to drop in for an informal chat and raise issues.
The ‘Pint with Cath’ sessions are designed to offer a more informal alternative to her current regular MP surgeries, coffee mornings and supermarket surgeries that Catherine also runs throughout the year, allowing residents to drop in the evening without needing a formal appointment.
Catherine Fookes MP said:
“I’ve held coffee mornings and supermarket surgeries across Monmouthshire before, but I wanted to try something a little more informal where people could simply drop in, have a chat and raise whatever was on their minds.
Thank you to everyone who came along. It was a fantastic turnout, and I really enjoyed speaking to so many local residents who raised many issues with me, including traffic, anti-social behaviour, and supporting young people into work.”
“I’m looking forward to taking ‘Pint with Cath’ sessions to other parts of Monmouthshire in the future.”
Catherine also hosts regular in-person surgeries where residents can discuss specific casework-related issues in detail, alongside her general outreach events.
