CHEPSTOW Radio has been granted an FM licence, allowing it to broadcast on digital radio.

The FM licence will be valid from Monday 9th December to Sunday 5th January 2014 with audience figures expected to rise from 4,500 to 20,000 during that time.

Alex Stanley, founder of Chepstow Radio, said: "It's great news that we've got our FM licence. On 28th December the Welsh Grand National is coming to Chepstow and we're planning on doing coverage for that. We're hoping that audience figures will rise to 25,000 over that week."
