CHEPSTOW Racecourse has teamed up with Bath Ales to hold a Winter Beer Festival at the upcoming race meeting on Saturday 21st February.

Visitors can enjoy a full programme of jump racing, live music from Celtic band Murphy's Marbles, and the opportunity to sample a range festival marquee.

The festival also marks the launch of a brand new ale, The Wobbly Jockey, which has been brewed specifically for Chepstow Racecourse.

This race meeting is in support of Chepstow based 1st Battalion The Rifles, and its charity Care for Casualties, which gives the severely wounded, their families, and the families of fallen Riflemen, the means to rebuild their lives and make the best of their futures.

Executive director of Chepstow Racecourse, Phil Bell, said: "We are looking forward to what promises to be a really enjoyable event.

"Mark Harding, sales director of Bath Ales, has lined up a great selection of drinks, and the team at 1 Rifles are bringing along a number of activities for visitors to try out on the day.

"Chepstow Racecourse is proud to support The Rifles and Care for Casualties.

"As well as fundraising activities on the day there will also be a donation made from sales, to help raise much needed funds for this great cause.

"We look forward to welcoming a large crowd to this fantastic event."

Tickets are on sale now, with a special "Real Ale" package available in advance, offering a G&P ticket, racecard and two pints for £22.
