TWO members of Chepstow’s Pupil Referral Unit have just started an epic 300 mile trek in aid of charity.

Wesley Harry and Gareth Morgan, who are based in Chepstow’s Boverton House, left Aberystwyth on Sunday 24th July and aim to arrive in Somerset ten days later.

Wes and Gareth are raising funds for BIBIC, a charity which provides services to children and young people aged six months to 18 years with neurological and genetic conditions.

Their initial target is £10,000 which they hope will mostly come through sponsorship but they will also be holding pub quizzes along their walk to help with their fundraising.

To keep people up to date with their trek the two are chronicling their journey on their Facebook page The Epic Adventure of Gareth & Wes: A Walk for BIBIC.

On the page will be updates of where the pair are and the events they will be holding.

Their journey ends on Wednesday August 3rd in the West Country town of Langport near Taunton to coincide with a community event organised by BIBIC.

Wes said: "We are excited about our Epic Adventure.

“It is for a brilliant cause that helps children with neurological conditions.

“Gareth took part in a similar event during his university days, hence the lack of need for training, (he thinks).

“I’m hoping my early morning runs will help me to endure such a mission. Looking after Gareth will be a more momentous task!"
