Chepstow Hospital shop has been closed due to cutbacks.
The small store, attached to the hospital building, stocked newspapers, sweets, essentials and even gift cards. It closed last Friday (26th October).
As well as being visited by local residents, the shop was regularly used by visitors to the hospital and enjoyed by patients.
Twin sisters Dianna Hallett and Dawn Walters, who have run the shop for more than six years, also loaded a trolley each day to take on ward rounds.
"We are just the next set of cutbacks," said Dianna.
"I am out of a job now. I have had a look at job sites but haven't found anything yet," she said.
Chepstow Hospital has faced several financial cutbacks in recent years, one of the most noticeable being the closure of its Minor Injuries Unit last year.
Speaking on the shop closure, a spokesperson from the Aneurin Bevan Health Board said: "The shop at Chepstow Hospital has proved to be financially uneconomic for a number of years.
"The Health Board has continually looked at ways of addressing this issue, including the introduction of new stock lines and changing opening hours, however NHS resources can no longer be spent on providing this service.
"The Health Board is working on continuing to provide facilities for inpatients to ensure that they can access basic items during their hospital stay."
