A crowd of almost 1500 people enjoyed this year's Fireworks Spectacular, organised by the Chepstow Round Table, on Tuesday 5th November. Thanks to the generosity of those members of the public who supported the display, the proceeds from the event will now be used to fund good causes throughout the Chepstow area.

The countdown to the start of the display was led by Jasmine Whitehouse from Sedbury, helped by Mayor of Chepstow Stephanie Dovey. Jasmine, a pupil at Offa's Mead Academy, was the VIP guest of Chepstow Round Table after winning £250 for her school for producing the best picture in this year's Challenge to Chepstow Schools.

Chairman of Chepstow Round Table, Martin Curtis, said: "We wanted this year's display to be one of the best ever as we are celebrating 50 years of Round Tabling in Chepstow. Despite all of the hard work that goes into organising this event, we are delighted that we can now put back something into our community for those individuals and groups who need our help. We couldn't do this without the support of the Town Council, Chepstow School, Chepstow Radio and those former tabler's from 41 Club who come along to help us each year, and of course the public who are so generous. A massive thank you all". The Round Table needs more members to be able to carry on providing these events for the town in the future.
