FOLLOWING the success of the last two years, entry to the Round Table Chepstow community fireworks this year will be free again in 2017.
This is a result of continued generous funding from Chepstow Town Council and other sponsors.
The annual event will be held Sunday, 5th November at Chepstow School.
The family firework show will not disappoint with plenty of ‘oooos’ and ‘aaahhs’ on the cards.
This year it is not only the fireworks that will keep everyone entertained there will be live music from a Blues Brothers tribute band and choirs and community music groups from the local area.
As usual there will be a special firework display for very young children who may get scared by the loud bangs of the main display. The main event with will follow shortly after the kids display finishes.
As well as a spectacular fireworks display hot food and drinks will be available to keep everyone fed and warm.
Glowsticks, and other flashing and spinning toys can also be purchased to entertain the little ones, and not so little ones. There will also be a climbing wall for the more adventurous.
Although entry to the event will be free any donations to the Round Table will be welcome. All proceeds from this and other Round Table events, such as the Santa’s sleigh that tours Chepstow and surrounding villages at Christmas, will go to support local good causes.
Chepstow and District Round Table chairman, Kevin Jordan, said: “This is one of our big events of the year and again it will be free to enter this year.
“The Round Table members give their time freely to organise this and other events to raise money for good causes and have some fun along the way.
“Whether they are working on arranging the professional fireworks, organising food or letting people know it is happening this event would not happen without their unstinting support.
“We are always looking for new members so if anyone fancies coming along then just get in touch.”
