I am contacting you from a national charity, the Meningitis Trust; we support 20,000 people a year whose lives have been torn apart by the killer disease, meningitis.
We are the only organisation to do this.
Each year we receive great support from people across the UK, looking to make a difference by taking part in an event on our behalf.
This year, however, sign up to the Great North Run (18th September) and London 10k (10th July) have been very poor, meaning we could be hit by a significant shortfall in income.
A shortfall of this amount would have a detrimental affect on the people who count on us everyday, so, if you'd like to enable us to carry on rebuilding lives shattered by meningitis, please sign up to one of these events today.
