TWO Cambridge University pals passed through Monmouth last Tuesday on a sponsored cycle ride from John O'Groats to Land's End. Jack Westwood and Alex Groot have so far raised £1,300 for East Anglia's children's hospices. "We've had three punctures, two new sets of brakes, two new tyres and four sore knees!" said James, "But we're looking forward to a slap up meal tonight with my parents in Catbrook!" James and Alex were hoping to complete their marathon ride within the following three days.
