THE annual Monmouth's Got Talent competition, which was won by guitarist Max Weeden, raised a total of more than £2,000 for charity.
Family support charity Home-Start, which works with volunteers offering friendship and practical help to families struggling to cope with day-to-day life, and Monmouth's defibrillator fund were both given money.
Sixth form pupils from Monmouth Comprehensive School, Monmouth School and Haberdashers Monmouth School for Girls, who jointly organised the competition, presented Pam Lloyd of Home-Start with a cheque for £1,588.71.
