The Chamber of Commerce, and others promoting the advantages of CCTV for Monmouth so enthusiastically, may not be concerned about the civil liberties issues raised by being constantly under surveillance, but they should consider the final paragraph of your report on 24th March, on the spate of attempted break-ins in Monmouth.
I quote: "The incident was captured on the store's CCTV, but the video image was not sufficiently detailed to identify the individual in question."
