Five cattle died after a lorry fell onto its side near Monmouth last Sunday (6th February).

The lorry, carrying 65 cattle, tipped over at about 4.15pm on the A40 near Dixton Roundabout and two animals died as a direct result of the collision.

A vet and the RSPCA attended the scene as well as emergency service crews and two more animals were humanely destroyed because of their injuries.
