• This year's Ross carnival princess has been chosen from a list of 18 entrants. She is nine-year- old Darcie Victor Trott, pictured here with her attendants, ten-year-old Adele Brooke and nine- year-old Tabitha Davies. The judges were councillor Gordon Lucas and Mrs Margaret Lucas, float providers Bonnie and Clive Beard, and Ross in Bloom co-organiser Lyn Tomlinson.
