A mother whose daughter has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma cancer has launched a heartrending appeal.

Annastarzzia Dickenson, who lives in Dingestow, was just 14 when she was diagnosed with cancer in February 2007.

Since then she has undergone chemotherapy and radiotherapy for the second time as the cancer was re-diagnosed three months after the first course of treatment.

Whilst undergoing treatment, Annastarzzia showed relentless courage and determination, taking her GCSEs at Monmouth Comprehensive School and achieving 1A*, 4 As, 8Bs and 2Cs - not bad for a young girl fighting and surviving cancer!

"She is determined to live a healthy and happy life and to give back to her community," Annastarzzia's mother, Lisa-Anne, told the Beacon.

"We have been told that she has a 38 per chance of developing a secondary cancer if we don't deal with it appropriately now. "

Meticulous research has convinced Lisa- Anne that a combination of vitamins, detoxifying machines, a raw food diet and complementary medicine are what Annastarzzia needs to put her body back to normal to help fight the cancer before it develops again.

"It isn't rocket science: vitamins and a raw food diet can stop cancer in its tracts along with detoxifying machines and complementary medicine," Lisa -Anne explained.

"But it all costs money. I have researched and researched and have a wealth of information at my fingertips - but lack of funds to put what I know into action. "

So far the Dickensons have been supported by bobbysfund.org but their funds are fast diminishing.

For this reason, they are holding a big raffle to raise funds to pay for Anastazzia's health programme.

Some famous names have already lent their support. Prizes donated range from a recipe book from Prince Charles to a signed football shirt from Robbie Fowler. Monmouth Comprehensive School will also be organising a number of fund raising events.

Now Lisa Anne is appealing for YOUR support.

If anyone can help sell nominated numbers for £1 on their raffle sheets; help with fund raising on the phone or would like to give a prize call 01600 740 308.

Mother and daughter would also like to hear from anyone who has been touched by cancer and who needs some complimentary advice on fighting the disease from a different angle

"The human body is an amazing structure and has capabilities of renewing and rebuilding as long as it has the correct food.

"I will not allow my daughter to become another statistic - I will not allow her body to give up on her," Lisa Anne added.
