A FEUDAL extravaganza invaded Caldicot Castle last weekend.

The two day event running from Saturday 8th August to Sunday 9th August attracted history lovers to its grounds where the medieval re-enactment group the Feudal Society, transported visitors back to 1215.

The Feudal Society put on a medieval fashion show and gave talks on the Magna Carta. Guests were also able to get a flavour of medieval cookery.

Mike Booth, Caldicot Castle manager, said: “The weather was great, although it was very hot for the knights in their armour!

“There was a steady stream of visitors throughout the day and lots of smiling faces.”
