A CHEPSTOW architecture firm responsible for more than 6,000 installations in 48 countries has entered voluntary liquidation, causing 32 employees to lose their jobs.

Staff at Architen Landrell, based on Station Road, Chepstow, were informed last Monday (30th November) that the business had gone into liquidation. Directors at the company have signed notices to cease trading, and creditors have been assigned.

The firm, which was one month away from completing a project for the National Performance Centre for Sport in Edinburgh, has won a number of awards for its structures and employed 32 full time staff.

Members of staff were called into a meeting with directors, who a staff member amongst those let go last week said were “clearly very upset.”Read more in this week’s Beacon
