Cross Ash Primary School is very proud to celebrate their Bronze Award in the Eco-Schools initiative. The School's Eco-Committee, pictured, has representatives from every class, from Reception to Year 6. They have held regular meetings and have worked consistently hard to make sustainable development issues a part of school life. The whole school has helped create an Eco-Logo and Eco-Code. Special assemblies have been held praising classes that save electricity. The Eco-committee has also completed an environmental review, created an action plan and has monitored and evaluated its success. "It has been a very busy year" said Bethany Amos, the chairperson of the Eco-Committee. "We are very proud of our achievements, which are down to the whole school community" Mr Brunsdon, the teacher responsible for the Eco- Schools, said "It is a wonderful way of raising awareness and engaging children with key environmental issues. Our Bronze Award is the icing on top of the cake.
