BRIDGES Community Centre is proud to be Investing in Volunteers achiever, having been awarded quality mark in June 2026 at the start of Volunteers Week.
It shows that we value our volunteers and demonstrates our commitment to volunteering within the organisation.
Wellbeing Services Manager, Bridges, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to receive the liV Award in recognition of our commitment supporting volunteers.
“Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do, bringing our wellbeing projects to life across the community. The award is a celebration of their dedication, passion, and the invaluable difference they make every day.”
They will be announcing their success at their Volunteer Celebration on Monday June 8, at the Drill Hall in Chepstow. This evening will be a celebration of their amazing volunteers and the time, energy and enthusiasm they commit to the community through their volunteering.
Investing in Volunteers in the UK quality standard for all organisations involving volunteers. Investing in Volunteers aims to improve the quality of the volunteering experience for all volunteers and demonstrates that organisations value the enormous contribution made by their volunteers.
Investing in Volunteers is delivered by the national volunteering infrastructure bodies in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Together they enable organisations across the UK to achieve the award.
Bridges was assessed against six quality areas and proved to excel in all aspects of working with its volunteers. The Chair of UKVF said “UKVF is delighted to announce Bridge’s successful achievement of this Award, they have demonstrated to a real volunteering, proven that their volunteer management policies and procedures meet nationally recognised standards.”
Investing in Volunteers is unique in that it is the only standard that focuses on volunteers. It is based on the following six quality areas:
