Pig breeders swept the board at the prestigious Three Counties Show at Malvern, but none did better than three year old Catherine Nicholas.
The tiny youngster, from Tregare, Raglan, became what must be the youngest owner of a champion pig with a British lop shown by her mother, Rachel Nicholas.
Catherine's January-born gilt, Giltedge Harmony, picked up prizes including female champion, champion traditional pig, and interbreed champion, and also qualified to go forward to Pig of the Year – the ultimate annual pig competition, held at the Great Yorkshire Show in Harrowgate from July 14 to 16.
