A monmouthshire restaurant has re-launched under a new brand.

10 Cents has opened in the former home of China Boy Jo.

Bonny Lai had run the successful Asian restaurant up until four years ago, when she decided to go to Malaysia and get involved in charity work.

She had no idea that in turning her back on it for others to take over, that it would be run into the ground.

In order to revive the reputation she had worked so hard to build, this time her restaurant will not be working to make a profit.

Instead, once wages and expenses have been covered, any money the restaurant takes will go via CAFOD to those in the developing world who have nothing.

Together with her 13-year-old son Hugo, Bonny is determined to ensure that the success of 10 Cents will deliver a lot more than 10 cents to the poor of the planet.

10 Cents Asian restaurant is now open six evenings a week.
