What is happening with the blockage under the Wye Bridge? Is Natural Resources Wales going to clear it?

I was looking over the bridge today (Monday), and the water going under the arch nearest the dual carriageway looked to me as if it could be washing the foundation from under the bridge pier. If this happens, and the bridge has to be closed, Wyesham will be isolated, with about a ten mile detour to get vehicles to town. So, once again, what is being done?
