A Monmouth barber has left the high street after 25 years in the town.
Jeff Mitchell welcomed customers to his Priory Street shop for the final time last Saturday (10th December) but will not be hanging up the clippers just yet.
He will be keeping in touch with his regular customers by providing a mobile hairdressing service.
Jeff has cut Norman Wisdom's hair and chatted to Brian May while cutting the Queen guitarist's son's hair during his time in Monmouth.
"It is the most sociable job you could get," said Jeff.
"Some of the regulars have been coming here for years and have become friends. It's great they can come in here for a bit of fun and banter."
As well as his ongoing duties as a county councillor for the Trellech United ward, Jeff will be kept busy singing with the choir Synergy, as chairman of Usk in Bloom, and spending time with his three children and soon-to-be four grandchildren.
