I read with interest the letter in last week's Beacon about the neglected and broken fence in Wyesham.
In the same spirit can I mention the dilapidated state of the pedestrian underpass beneath the A40?
The paintwork is peeling off, the ironwork is rusting, and rubbish is not cleared away.
For walkers on the Wye Valley and Offa's Dyke routes, this shambles is their first view of the town, and it's hardly a welcoming one.
