ARTIST Rug Ansell, whose work has been on show at Ross-on-Wye library for the past three weeks, has been asked to stay on for another fortnight by popular demand.
The retired primary school head teacher from East Ganglia has only been painting for the past four years but his nature and landscape paintings are already earning a considerable reputation.
"Since coming to live near Ross I have done lots of paintings of birds of prey and landscapes in Wales and in the Forest area, trying to capture the atmosphere of the area," he said.
"The exhibition at Ross has been a great success so far. There have been lots of favourable comments in the visitors' book, which is very encouraging.
"Now the library has asked if I can stay on for another two weeks, which I'm absolutely delighted to do."
