A MAN accused of threatening to set fire to a woman’s house must obey an electronic curfew while he awaits trial.
The 31-year-old denied threatening one of the women that he would set fire to her house when he appeared before Gwent magistrates.
Another charge of threatening to kill one of the three was withdrawn.
Jeffries was remanded on bail to appear for trial at the magistrates’ court on Monday, July 4 and ordered to stay at his h,ouse nightly from 8pm to 6am.
A THIEF who twice stole bottles of spirits from Monmouth’s Waitrose store has been ordered to pay £140 in court penalties.
Edward Johns, 33, of Monnow Keep, Monmouth, admitted stealing two botles of gin worth £33 on April 21 and two bottles of whisky worth £45 seven days later.
Gwent magistrates ordered him to pay £85 costs, £33 compensation and a £22 victim surchage. He was also given a conditional discharge for 12 months.
