SIR,
It appears that the elected county councillors and the officers in County Hall do not read the Beacon, because they are ignoring the numerous letters regarding the return of the Friday and Saturday markets to the Shire Hall.
Instead, Monmouthshire County Council wishes to gather the evidence first hand on 9th May when their independent chairman will hold an intelligence gathering exercise with an all-day session at the Shire Hall.
The day they have chosen is a Monday, no doubt chosen expecting few people to attend.
Meanwhile, copies of letters sent to the Beacon and new letters should be sent to;
Moyna Wilkinson
Deputy Chief Executive
Monmouthshire County Council
County Hall
Cwmbran

If you would like to save the postage, take your letters to the One Stop Shop in Priory Street and ask for your letter to be sent in the internal mail.
