SIR,
I am writing in my capacity as a member of Plaid Cymru Monmouthshire to comment on the letter written by Peter Edwardson in the
Monmouthshire Beacon dated 23rd February 2011.
I believe that it was not the case that Plaid Cymru in the 1970s advocated in any way the burning down of cottages owned by English people in the Welsh region.
I think that it was probably far more to do with Owain Glyndwr.
Plaid Cymru is not an organisation that is a threat in any way of this nature, but a legally constituted political party.
I feel an apology is necessary.
