RESIDENTS have reacted with anger to a second case of fly-tipping in two weeks at a woodland beauty spot.

The hunt is on for those responsible after people took to the Chepstow Community Facebook page to condemn the littering at Great Barnets Wood near Chepstow, where builders bags of rubbish, a house for sale sign, carpets and an old gas fire were among the items dumped.

Joseph Geer posted photos of the trash and said: “Yet again… Great Barnets Wood this morning… surely we can work out who did this.

“Nuttal Parker should be able to help… lots of carpets and old gas fire etc… they would recognise it as they will have taken photos and carried out viewings.”

Another man posted in reply: “Shouldn’t be too hard to find out who tipped it - estate agents sign - clearly recently completed sale- with carpet, drywall and underlay in the mess.”

One poster pleaded: “Please please report to NRW (Natural Resources Wales), they will be able to investigate with the names, etc, found

One woman said: “It is disgusting… this is the second time in recent weeks... suspect it is the same person both times.”

Great Barnets Wood owned by the Woodland Trust is a mecca for bluebell spotters in the spring with a 2km circular walking trail.
