MADAM, The Programme for Government update published by the Labour government this week glosses over its failures and paints an inaccurate picture of Labour's performance. On health, there is no mention of Labour's failure to meet ambulance response time targets, cancer treatment waiting time targets, or diagnostic test waiting time targets. On education, there is no mention of Labour's failure to make progress in closing the attainment gap. On the economy, there is no mention of Labour's failure to bring down long-term youth unemployment, to create high quality work or to close the GVA gap. We are facing a tired Labour Government that has run out of steam. Plaid Cymru's focus now is on health, education and the economy. Wales has the ability and capacity as a nation to run these services effectively. Leanne Wood (Plaid Cymru leader)
