Penallt Tennis Club were very fortunate to have an almost dry afternoon for their American tournament.Ten adults turned out. Luckily two teenage boys, Dan Barrington and Sean Sumner,were looking for a game so joined the adults making twelve players.
The usual format was followed with everybody playing everybody. The adult players were Bob and Michele Hall, Martin and Sue Dean, Chris and Rosie Adams,Steph Howell, Vicki Black, Peter Howe and Tim Mc Cord. When the games were finally counted Steph, Rosie, Tim and Chris had the four highest scores.
The Summer league matches are now completed. The Ladies team finished in mid league position as did the Mixed B team and the Men's B team. The Mixed A team finished second in their league.
The Men's A team had a difficult season as they were in the premiership competing against much larger clubs. Things should be better for them next year in division one.
