AGE Cymru's Monmouth shop celebrated its tenth birthday on Monday 9th February.
Local residents and guests – including the Mayor of Monmouth, Councillor Jane Gunter and her consort, gathered at the shop to enjoy a cup of tea and a piece of cake.
Staff at the Age Cymru shop, which is located in the Oldway Centre, Monnow Street, organised the event to thank local people for their support over the last decade.
Carol Hoskins, manager of the Age Cymru shop in Monmouth, said: "Thanks to the generosity and kindness of Monmouth residents over the last 10 years, we've raised almost £1 million to help support some of the most vulnerable members of our society.
"The shop opened in 2005 as an Age Concern shop and became Age UK when we merged with Help the Aged, and then in 2012 we became part of the Age Cymru charity.
"We've also had a few staff members and volunteers come and go over the years, but the one constant in all this time has been the unwavering support of the people of Monmouth.
"Thank you all again for your support – here's to the next ten years for Age Cymru in
Monmouth."
