SIR, What are the benefits to the town of the Dixton Road development? What will the tourists think of our town when the first thing they see will be a fast food restaurant? Our reputation is extremely important to me and others. For instance, King Henry V was born here, what will people think as their first impression, disappointment? As the school I will shortly be attending is adjacent to the area, we should not tolerate the traffic fumes, noise levels or the ruin of the historical status of Monmouth. The council have not considered our deep feelings about a fast food restaurant in the area of Monmouth. What about the shops in Monmouth town? On Fridays the traffic is already shameful enough.
