SIR,

Here is a question for you all.

What has moved to the "wet and windy site" at the bottom of town; been moved from its "ancestral" home at the Shire Hall; taken up valuable car parking space; taken away revenue from businesses at the top of town; grown in size because of the available room; has more and diverse stalls than ever before; is busier than ever; and has caused a lot less traffic disruption?

The answer is the music festival of course – bet you thought it was the market.

With almost identical reasons mooted for the market's return to the Shire Hall, why is it no-one is campaigning for the return of the festival?

If the festival remains at the bottom of town, so should the market.
