Monmouth Tennis Club's women's A team took on Llantrissant at the weekend.
Hilary and Carol played Llantrissant's second pair and won six-one, six-three.
They then played the first pair and won six-two, six-four.
Monmouth's Leigh and Lesley lost their match against the Llantrissant first pair two-six, four-six but beat the second pair seven-five, six-nil.
Monmouth won the match by three events to one.
