Cross Ash School's production of 'Midwife crisis' held last week told a tale of mayhem in the manger.
The story revolved around a midwife who is desperately searching for a palace in Bethlehem where she has heard a baby king is due to be born, unaware that he has been born in a stable.
By the time that she finds Mary and Joseph, she is too late and the baby has been born. The midwife finds that this special baby doesn't need her, but she needs him.
Year 2 pupils performed the principle roles while the children in the reception and Year 1 classes formed a wonderful choir singing a range of lovely cheerful songs throughout the production.
The children gave three performances.
