SIR, May I say through your columns what a super weekend for Monmouth on Show for European Heritage Days. We were given a warm welcome and a lot of information wherever we visited. A good insight into behind closed doors. We were somewhat mystified when visiting The Shire Hall as to why the mayor's parlour was locked, and why the mayor /deputy mayor could not have made themselves available to show the electorate and visitors to Monmouth around the Chamber.
