Shortlry before 10pm Tuesday night, following concerns for the welfare of a person on Dixton Road, Police and ambulance staff detained the woman under the Mental Health Act.

Due to the presence of police and ambulance on the scene, Dixton Road was blocked to traffic for a short period of time.

The woman is now in the care of medical professionals.
