Police respond to mental health welfare concerns on Dixton Road

A WOMAN has been detained under the mental health act after there were concerns for her welfare and is now in the care of medical professionals.

Police were called to Dixton Road in Monmouth last night at around 10pm last night (Tuesday July 21). The Beacon was informed of two police cars and an ambulance in attendance on the road opposite the Phoenix Block of Monmouth Comprehensive School.

Motorists were advised to find an alternative route.
